Episode 2 of Minimalist picks up inside a dungeon full of trees, with the torches Team B.S. made at the end of the last episode. Basket and Scoti Garbidis each die once, clear a cave spider spawner, split a pile of loot, and then wander into the room that holds the monument. Nothing has been placed on it yet when the video ends.
Spiders on the stairs
They start under a set of stairs where a redstone torch sits. "I think this redstone torch is just for lighting." Spiders keep coming down the stairs, and in the fighting a chat line appears: "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by BasketMC." An apology follows, "only sort of sorry." One of them has already found a chest and "took everything in it," and a sword comes out of another. A pork chop gets handed over.
The cave spider spawner
Upstairs is a big hallway with trees, fenced patches of grass and torches. The spiders here are the small poisonous kind, and the plan is to find their spawner and light it up. Torches run short almost at once.
Scoti carries an enchanted sword, and someone says it "one hit kills these guys," the little ones at least. "I took out a spawner, I don't know if it was the right one," the recording says. The cave spiders keep coming, Basket gets poisoned, and the chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Spider." Basket respawns in a stone room.
Splitting the loot
Scoti picks up Basket's gear, and another chest turns up carrots and bone meal. At a chest they sort it all out: a regeneration potion, a stone sword as a backup, arrows split in half, string, cobblestone and torches. "I'm all pro now," one of them says about sharing.
A shortcut and a hidden chest
A sign reads "Chop this way for a shortcut," so they chop through the wood. A chest hidden past it holds potions, splash potions of healing among them. "Goody, goody, goody." One of them figures "somewhere in here there's an emerald," and the other asks, "aren't we supposed to get a wool here?" The answer is that there "might not be wool in all of the blocks." No wool turns up in this one.
The monument room
With some gear, they head into the orange area with lava. Speed and Fire Resistance show in the inventory. "What's this called? Majestic Monument." A long row of glass-fronted slots runs along one wall, all empty.
The room past it is stocked: an ender chest, an enchanting table ringed with bookshelves, furnaces, a crafting table and walls of chests. One large chest holds an iron pickaxe.
Where it ends
"This is another short episode," one of them says. They move their gear into the monument room and plan to start from there next time.
