With the topaz crown done, Aimee has another job. This one sends Basket into a mine that fights back much harder than the last, and Basket ends up running the road from town to the mine more than once.

A crown that looks ridiculous

Aimee's pitch: "I don't know if you've ever seen the King's crown, but it looks ridiculous!" The King's birthday is coming up, and Aimee has been asked to make a new one. That takes a garnet, a malachite and an onyx, from three mines on the east and south sides of the swamp. The quest is A Crown of Majesty. Basket always accepts the quest, and takes the map to the east one. It doesn't look very useful.

A wand, finally

There's enough money now for a wand, so Basket heads to the Arcanist and buys the Weak Wand: Fire Aspect I and Knockback I, no durability. Only after buying it does Basket notice a better one further along the list, the Student's Wand with Sharpness added, and no longer enough money for it. The wand comes with Frost Nova. Sneak and use it, and it sends out a burst that hurts nearby mobs and slows them in place, then goes on cooldown.

The quest compass also gets figured out. The quest has three parts, and each right-click switches it to the next target.

The Eastern Mine

Out the east gate, past other players' plots, it's night in the swamp. There are creepers, a witch, arrows from somewhere, and one moment of confusion that turns out to be a lily pad. Basket starts sprinting, even though the plan was to save food by walking. A sign reads Eastern Mine, and chat says the mine will reset in 30 seconds, so Basket waits.

Inside there's slow sand, a spawner, and a mob called the Corrupt Foreman. Basket sneaks to keep from falling off an edge and sets off Frost Nova by accident. More creepers spawn, things catch fire, and hiding in the wall to heal doesn't help when a zombie hits Basket through it. The death screen reads "BasketMC was slain by Zombie," score 868.

Twice

Back in town, the City Guide hands out free tools and food after every death. "Lame." Basket runs back and finds everything still there, wand included.

Round two goes no better. Basket lights up a room with a sword about to break, then the silverfish come. "Silverfish are so obnoxious." Basket gets stuck, can't jump, and the sword breaks. Chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Corrupt Miner." Another starter kit, another run east. This time the helmet is gone. "What a disaster." The real problem, Basket decides, was not expecting natural mobs to spawn outside.

Backup

The third try works. Against one creeper the wand turns out handy: its fire does the damage, so Basket can just keep clicking. A spawner gets lit up, a chest gives up a rail ("I don't need it"), and it looks like the dungeon is cleared.

Then another player, dash10138, drops in. Basket asks in chat about the quest item. "Nope, wrong mine. :P" They're after the onyx for the King's bounty themselves. "Saw your stream before BTW." And: "Saw you die a couple times in chat and figured I could give you some backup." Basket thanks them. The episode ends with a look at what's left in the inventory. "I guess I don't have any pants on anymore."
