The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 123 and BasketMC 94. Team B.S. is still crossing the Crumbling Abyss on a raised walkway, still living on the saturation that wolves drop. "Welcome back, we're still on the run." The plan for this stretch is walls of wooden planks along the path, plus what one of them calls "a little island oasis of wolves."
Gear on the walkway
It goes wrong fast. Basket has a Tainted Katana in hand when it starts: "Something just pained me big time." The chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was killed by magic." "Is my stuff all hanging out there?" "Yeah, your stuff is sitting here."
A couple of minutes later the ice guys add a new problem. "Oh, something weird's going on, I'm all zoomed in." "When you kill them they drop a super zoomed in slowness thing." "Oh good lord, I'm gonna die." The chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Wolf."
So they set up a safe room right on the path, with chests for backup supplies. "I'm gonna put all your stuff inside the chest."
No wolves when it counts
Then the wolves stop coming. "I see, like, no wolves. This is so weird. I'm gonna starve." Basket's hunger bar runs out and the chat reads "BasketMC starved to death." Basket respawns in a stone room of bookshelves and chests with an empty hotbar, and soon after the chat shows "BasketMC Teleporting to: Crumbling Abyss."
Ahead, they can see where this is going. "You think that's the fleecy box, the thing hanging over a bunch of void?" The poison spiders and the red splash potions in the walls keep chipping at them, and one close call ends with "I was down to four hearts."
Wool in a chest
The last gap needs ladders, so one of them puts some together, and Basket climbs down into the room. A chest there holds the cyan wool. "Yeah, you grab one. I'll grab one. We'll leave one for our friends." Basket takes one, and the chest still shows one left.
Now it's a race against hunger. "Just imagine there's a really cool explosion behind us. This is all slow motion." "We got through this a lot faster than I thought we would." The way back drags: "It's like watching sand tick through an hourglass, knowing that when the last grain falls your life is over." After a short pause in the recording, they run on and make it back.
On the monument
The chat shows "Teleporting to: The Nexus," and Basket's hotbar shows Cyan Wool. "Do you want to put the cyan wool in or you want me to do it?" "Yeah sure, I'll do it." Basket places it in its slot on the monument wall.
Nothing pops up in chat. "No message. It must be because we didn't do the other one yet." They figure the area may only count as beaten once the second wool from it is in. With that, they call it a short episode. The credits roll, and nothing plays after them.
The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 125 and BasketMC 95. Scoti dies twice (magic and a wolf) and Basket starves once. The cyan wool goes on the monument. No emerald blocks or upgrade blocks are placed.
