The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 125 and BasketMC 95. With the cyan wool placed last time, Team B.S. heads back to the Hunting Grounds to finish the treasure map, and the first thing they settle is how many pieces it has. "There's actually only three books, not four books. Scoti was right." The third one, by their reading, needs the other two: "you have to do some math on the first book and the second book to be able to find the coordinates. So we have to find that first book."
Back to the front
The guess is that the missing book sits "closer to the front of the level," so that's where they start. The chat reads "Teleporting to the Hunting Grounds," and Basket's effects list shows the usual rules for this area: Hunger, Mining Fatigue, Absorption and Saturation IV, all on short timers. The plan is torches and spawners. "I'm just trying to take out some spawners and light up things as we go." Chest after chest turns out to be a dud: "It's not in there."
Hunger is still the real enemy here. A few minutes in, the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis starved to death," and soon after, "Scoti_Garbidis Teleporting to: Intersection 2."
Out by the lakes
They split up to cover more ground. "Problem with it is it all kind of looks the same." Then a witch turns up: "Oh, god, I'm on fire!" and, a bit later, "I got poisoned by the witch." Out by a lake, one of them has better luck: "I found another chest back here. Okay, it has an emerald in it." Another, by a frozen lake, holds what one of them calls "a big magic e-book." Still no map.
Then a Stealthed Creeper finds Basket. The chat reads "BasketMC was blown up by Stealthed Creeper," and Basket comes back with an empty hotbar next to a red bed in a stone room.
The cabin
Back in the woods, one of them reports "lots of torches on this path," and the two find each other again ("Oh, there you are"). Then: "Oh, there's a building here. Spotted, spotted, there's poison, spider, building, yes! Get in." Inside is a small wooden cabin with a red carpet, a furnace and a chest. "Alright, it's a book."
They don't stick around ("Are you serious? Yeah, run away"), and the run out is rough: "There's a spawner here," and "there's a ravine in between us and where we have to go." Out by the water, Basket opens the book. It's Treasure Map #1, and its single page holds one number: 267191. "Now I have a video record of what the code is."
Home with the book
Basket passes a sign marked "To: The Nexus" on the way back to the Nexus, and Scoti turns up a moment later with arrows still sticking out. "I have a few arrows in me." "You do have a few arrows in you." The emerald stays behind for now ("You dropped off stuff there?" "Yeah, emerald"), so no emerald block goes on this time. Next episode, by their plan, they "drop the emerald" and "read the books." Nothing plays after the credits.
The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 126 and BasketMC 96. Scoti dies once (starved) and Basket dies once (a Stealthed Creeper). Treasure Map #1 is found. No wool, emerald blocks or upgrade blocks are placed.
