Village Valley: Ragecraft 3 Episode 6

  • Published on

"We are going to destroy this village." "I didn't know that was the plan." Basket and Scoti come into this one with the death counter at 1 for Scoti and 0 for Basket, and it doesn't move all episode. They take a detour down the river first, then work through the village house by house until they reach the blacksmith.

Down the river

Before the village, they jump down into the river below it. A zombie is waiting at the bottom. One of them goes for a critical hit and misses ("I was blocking"), and a zombie drops an iron ingot. A lit spot up the bank looks like it might hide a spawner, but it's just dark ground spawning mobs.

Farther along, a creeper and a skeleton show up together. The skeleton keeps shooting, the water makes it hard to get close, and one of them drops to four and a half hearts. Past it is a camp with a fire, potions and spawners. They take the spawners out and eat zombie flesh to heal.

The camp pays well: instant health potions, a Splash Potion of Regeneration, spider eyes, paper, cobwebs, a stone sword, and a chest with nothing in it but one emerald. "My inventory is so Scotied right now."

They swim up the waterfall to run the ingot and the emerald home, and find out you can eat while swimming up. Then they harvest the melons and stop to sort their stuff.

A trap that isn't

Basket has a bucket now, and Basket found a small sewer, "the secret way" in. Inside is a trap so obvious it has to be one: gravel overhead and a wooden pressure plate in front of a chest. They pull out the water chutes first. The plan is to dig under and break the plate without letting a falling block land on it. One of them backs off so that "only one of us will explode."

Nothing explodes. The chest holds two golden apples, with a sign under it. The trap was fake. "Good game, Heliceo. I love your sense of humor." The next obvious trap, they promise, gets treated "with extreme prejudice."

House by house

The barn is done, horses and all. A second-floor chest has a spawner hidden under a half slab nearby, and there's a redstone block in a window, so one of them goes in through the roof. They split the loot: a helmet, apples, a bow, a stone sword and the cobwebs, which one of them thinks are "more valuable than lots of other stuff."

The blacksmith

Outside, creepers. The building to the left has a baby zombie spawner and some signs, and it turns out to be the blacksmith. Inside, a stone pickaxe breaks, and there are creeper spawners above them and in a corner. Down past a wall there's something they take for a crystal, which gets a new name on the spot: "the crunchy box."

Then a wall of signs sets a new rule. Chests with essential items are partly or completely encased in glass, and if one gets destroyed, it's game over. They can't tell yet whether that means the crystals.

There's lava below and lava nearby, skeletons "with sweet bows" across the room, and they're close enough to keep things spawning. "Man, things have gotten heated, but you know what, dude, we'll get this all figured out."
