Village Blacksmith: Ragecraft 3 Episode 7

  • Published on

Basket and Scoti pick up right where they left off, inside the village blacksmith, and the mobs have been spawning the whole time they were recording the intro. "We're not too proud to just let them all spawn in." It's a short episode, about twelve minutes, spent lighting up spawners, dodging blazes and finding the thing the next area needs. The counter starts and ends at 1 for Scoti, 0 for Basket.

Lava on the problem

There's a water bucket in the hotbar and a spot to put it down, and baby zombies down below. It goes badly fast for one of them. "Cover me, cover me. Poor choices made by me." That one is down to three and a half hearts while eating. The wall built at the end of last time gets a short review: "My cool wall thing was a little dangerous." "It helped for a little while." Then someone starts pouring lava on the crowd.

The Corrupted Blacksmith

The plan is to charge in and go right, starting with a skeleton wearing a helmet. A creeper is waiting too, and there are endermen around. "Don't look at the endermen." Then come blazes, and a mob they read off as a Corrupted Blacksmith. "He's tough." One of them was hoping it would drop something in particular, and it doesn't, at least not this time. Somebody pillars up, somebody ends up on three hearts, and the call is to torch everything and then run away. "Champions of the torch."

Hanging spawners

There are spawners up in the air, including what looks like a skeleton spawner dangling from the ceiling. Torches on all four sides won't stop an airborne spawner completely, but it cuts the chances, so they go for it on a count of three. Both of them go for the same one. "I'm more of a hanging skeleton torcher." The other one is over lava, which leads to some talk about swapping a lava bucket for water.

Magic pants

The next run to the right turns up creepers, more blazes and a few chests. One of them takes the "magic pants," since the old pair is beat. There's a sword, a leather cap nobody noticed at first, and furnaces the map was stingy with coal on. They pool their gear: bows, arrows, bones, leather, coal, slabs, string and quartz change hands.

An enderman heads straight at one of them but doesn't seem to mean it. The blazes go down, one of them suggests water below the blaze spawner as a safety net, and soon after that the spawner is gone.

Anvils

In a stone alcove there are anvils, and a sign: "An anvil is required in order to get to the next area!" They're very damaged anvils, probably with one use left each, so the rule is don't use them up. One ends up in Basket's inventory, and they decide to take it back to the house. It's a long walk, so they end the episode there.
