The fire sensei went down last time, so there's a crystal to collect. Team B.S. heads back through the area with a fresh set of buffs, Speed, Strength, Jump Boost IV and Resistance, and the death counter opens at Scoti 34, Basket 22. "Let's tread lightly."
The Light Blue Crystal
It doesn't take long. One of them asks if the other is ready for a block to come out, breaks it, and there it is. "Oh, light blue crystal, yo! That's one heck of a way to start an episode." There was a chest down below as well, so they go grab the loot, which means dodging creepers that want to blow it all up first. A gold sword turns up in there too.
Back at the monument, Basket does the honors. The chat reads "Congratulations! You have defeated: XIN'S LEGACY," and the Light Blue Crystal joins the others on the monument. That's 4 of 16. There's a strange pause as it goes in, and one of them admits to wondering whether breaking an emerald block earlier had broken everything. "I'll never forgive myself."
Into the swamp
Next up is the Yellow Crystal, which starts at the bottom of Intersection 1. The sign there reads Breeding Grounds, 6 emeralds. The map hands them boats right away, and one of them feels like they shouldn't use them. The other already is.
That goes about as well as you'd expect. There's a spawner hidden in the bushes, things get tense, and the plan becomes "run away" and let stuff despawn. They find a giant lily pad to stand on, which reminds them of the giants back in UT3. A bow with Punch turns out to be great here, since the zombies don't know how to swim. "I'm knocking stuff away, man. I'm loving this bow."
Tons of spawners
Pushing toward the next big patch of land, they find spawners everywhere and creepers by the pile. A lot of the creepers just go down in the water. One of them ends up underneath a spider spawner and can't break through from below, but figures being under it is not the worst place to be. A creeper face on a banner gets noticed, and so does a waterfall "where you can die."
The story of the water
Then there's a chest on a glowstone block with a sign that says "Important" and an arrow pointing at it. It smells like a trap, so nobody wants to look first. It isn't one. Inside are Amphibian Boots, with Depth Strider II and Unbreaking, and a bit of story: the swamp water is so rich that "it grants monsters and humans who swim in it incredible strength and regeneration," and the native creepers and reptiles can "regenerate all of their health within seconds." To beat them, you might have to use the water's powers yourself.
Swapping into the Depth Strider boots means giving up one of the buffs, so there's some back and forth about it. "That Strider is awesome."
Two houses
They split up, one taking the house with a creeper on top and the other taking the one without. It's poison spiders and creepers inside, and somebody spots an emerald in a chest. Then it goes wrong in a hurry: a retreat, a fall, and "BasketMC fell from a high place." The bed is at least in the right spot. Basket goes up to 23, while Scoti stays at 34.
With mobs still coming after Basket, they call it there and plan to regroup next time. Crystals stand at 4 of 16; no emerald blocks were placed this episode, so that count is still 2 of 12.
