Scoti's gear is still lying where it dropped at the end of last episode, and the plan is to go get it. "This awesome episode where I sort through the pants and you save the day!" Nobody brought wood, so there's no chest to put anything in. The death counter opens at Scoti 51, Basket 38.
Four deaths in five minutes
The trouble starts at the intersection. One of them grabs armor and a bane of arthropods sword, and they head back toward the building where the little guys live. These mobs are small enough to get through gaps, and they're quick. "They're so much faster than me. You were right." "Yeah, they have speed and they're fast in general." Before long the chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Imp."
Then a wall that got blocked off earlier turns out to be in the way, and there's no pickaxe to break it. One of them tries an axe on a spawner instead: "Let's see if I die before I can break this." The chat answers that pretty fast. "BasketMC was slain by Imp," again.
Scoti goes down next, then Basket a third time, each of them to an Imp. By about the five-minute mark the counter reads Scoti 52, Basket 41.
Getting the stuff back
One of them finds a Helmet of the Sorcerer's Apprentice on the way back in. The other loss on everyone's mind is "the cool tempest bow," and they half expect it to be gone. One of them finds "a secret way" around, walls it off so "little dudes can't get me," and most of the gear turns up. The pants don't. They regroup at the minecart chest to re-equip.
Inside the building, a spawner goes down, and a frost trap from the loot helps. Not everything in here is an imp, either.
A pair of boots with magic protection and fire protection is up for grabs too.
TNT heads
They break the stairs so the mobs can't climb back up to them, and that seems to work. Then come the "TNT head guys," which explode when they die. "I forgot he blows up when he dies." They're spawning from somewhere under the stairs, and blazes are spawning out of a wall. Underneath all of it is "a huge complex" with "rail carts and all kinds of madness."
They block off one way in, then find a quartz "conveyor belt thing" that one of them compares to Aperture Science. A sword breaks in the middle of a fight, and the fallback is an axe. A chest nearby has gold pants in it, and after some back and forth about who needs pants more, one of them takes them.
Lots of imps
The last room is full of wood and crafting benches, and it has its own spawner. "There's imps in here! I have no way to kill them! I'm axing them." At least, one of them notes, "these imps, they don't blow up." A creeper spawner goes down too. With the wood they finally craft a stone sword.
There's a brief bit of excitement about an emerald, until it turns out to be in someone's own inventory. They carry a chest into the main room, the one where they "died a whole bunch," and make it a waypoint: a magic book, some experience bottles and the extra boots go in. The episode ends with somebody on fire. The counter closes at Scoti 52, Basket 41. The monument wasn't shown, so it stays at 7 of 16 crystals and 4 of 12 emerald blocks.
