The name pieces are in their frames at the witch's door. "The first letter of the name is 'Ah'." Then there's a door sound, and the way into the old witch's chamber is open. The counter reads Scoti 78, Basket 73.
Gaia's warning
Just inside is a button with a sign over it. Pressing it grants 30 seconds of immunity against Alyria's aura of corruption, "but makes Alyria invulnerable for 30 seconds." "Why would we want to make her invulnerable?"
Then Gaia's message gets read out. The old witch "uses black magic to create a corrupted aura that slowly kills any human that enters her room." Gaia can't do much here, but will leave green orbs of purification in the room. Touching one "cleanses your body of all poison and grants you 30 seconds of immunity to the corrupted aura." Use them often, the message says, "or you will not last long."
They put down two beds, one each, so whoever dies can get back fast. Some of their gear glitches while they're near the door, and a book turns back into a bed.
Prepare for battle
The plan is to light up the dark part of the room first. That lasts about a minute. The screen fills with "Alyria" and "Prepare for battle!", and chat adds: "[Alyria] You look a little ill! Is everything okay?"
The orbs work, but they don't come back where they were picked up. "They randomly spawn in different spots." In between, it's creepers with potions on their heads, spider zombie things, nausea, slowness and wither. And something in the middle has a laser. "There's a witch in the middle, it's got laser vision."
Nine deaths
Basket goes first. "BasketMC withered away," and right after respawning, it happens again. "I can't even click on the respawn button, I'm so sick here." The gear ends up in a pile deep in the room, and the healing potions come back unstacked.
Then the counter starts climbing on Scoti's side, from 78 all the way to 85. One of the lines reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Alyrias_Gaze." "She hit me with her laser."
Where's my sword?
Most of the fighting turns into running in for piles of stuff. "Do you have my sword?" Nobody seems sure whose sword is whose. One of them grabs a chestplate and an axe from a pile but can't find the diamond swords. On Basket's screen there's the Supercharged Blade, with a Parry ability that gives Resistance while it's held.
Then one of them breaks their bed and respawns at the very start of the map. "You do not want your bed to break right now." There's a portal close by, so the trip back is quicker than it sounds, and the jump boots help.
To be continued
The fight was supposed to fit in one episode. It doesn't. "There's no way this is gonna be one episode." Alyria is still alive at the end.
This episode's deaths: Basket twice, Scoti seven times. The counter ends at Scoti 85, Basket 75. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over: 13 of 16 crystals and 10 of 12 emerald blocks.
