The yellow wool is in reach this time, sitting in a fleecy box full of soul sand and skeleton spawners. The death counter reads Basket 42, Scoti 25 at the start and doesn't move all episode, though not for lack of trying.
Arrows from the death chest
It opens mid-fight with a creeper, then "Welcome back, guys!" One of them is low on arrows, and the other brings every arrow from the death chest. There's a way into the fleecy box now, but it's a mean one. The floor is soul sand, which slows you to a crawl, and the room is full of skeleton spawners. "Between the soul sand and their punch bows, I was getting tore up." The death chest seems to have no pickaxes in it, until the other one points out there should be four on the bottom row.
The bad idea show
One of them heads for the fleecy box while the other distracts the crowd. It ends at half a heart. "Welcome to the bad idea show." There are cave spiders they thought were cleared out, bats in the way, and a chainmail skeleton that "did not want to die." Arrows get handed over "like a baby bird." Somebody takes a friendly headshot. Then it's Operation Draw Their Fire, and the gear dropped from an earlier death turns out to be gone. "It is totally gone."
Yellow wool
Getting into the box is a mix-up. One of them is already inside and yelling to close it up. The other thought they were going in together, and has no blocks to close it with. One of them got in by pillaring up and dropping through the top. A mushroom mob makes it in too.
The chest is full of yellow wool. "How much do you have?" "Three." "I'll take three." Then it's a sprint back out across the soul sand, keeping to the right wall. Scoti makes it: "25 deaths so far for me." One of them is done with the place. "I don't care if you make six in between episodes, I'm never coming back. I hate the Mycelium Mines."
Fungi notes
On the way out they pass a stone hallway with signs for a Lounge and a Kitchen, and find a book they never read. The miners write that the mycelium here is mostly gone, and what's left is polluted by "the natural metallic rocks in this area." They have one last Azarian order to fill, because "those folks love the stew," and then it's time to move on. "It's always fun exploring uncharted territory." The reply: "Whatever, dude. Not always fun." They take a Power I bow, potatoes and some pickaxes, and leave the instant damage potions.
One more path
There's still a branch they haven't done, and the last side path had iron. "So this is the place I get to die because you want to explore." It's a dark dead end with chests, Thorns mobs, a creeper and a worry about an Enderman. "Terrible ideas are all that I have." They get overwhelmed, fall back, eat, and go again. Past it is a giant cave, a zombie spawner, iron ore and a chest with Regeneration potions, food, wood and bone meal. While that chest is open, an on-screen caption reads "Watch me throw away the wool :D" as the three yellow wool leave an inventory slot.
Two more chests
Before calling it, they check the last two chests, which "look untrapped." One is full of mushrooms. The other has an Iron Axe with Efficiency IV and Unbreaking I. They mine out the iron and wrap it up.
