Last time they found a new intersection and left its treasure chest for later. This episode starts right there. The death counter reads Basket 47, Scoti 43.
Everything in one chest
The chest sits by a missing block, and a couple of the blocks near it are silverfish. It doesn't look trapped, so they count to three and open it. "Wow, that's everything." Enchanted books, a Golden Chestplate with Protection IV, potions, a diamond sword. There's talk of using it to repair "the other diamond sword" next time they do enchanting.
Close by is a sign for Lacerator Level 4. They have carried a Lacerator since the first level, and this one has Sharpness IV, Knockback II, Fire Aspect II, Unbreaking II and Looting II. "Doesn't have endless durability," though. Across the way is "anvil city," a pile of anvils. "Nine anvils, get the tenth anvil free."
Going purple
Signs at the intersection point to Hypercharged, Under Your Skin and Valley of Thunder. "Assuming it's the same sequence, we should go purple, I guess. Is that the next one?" "Yep." The path to Under Your Skin is full of cobwebs.
Inside it's dark and quiet, apart from a few skeletons and creepers, and they find a regular spider spawner. One of them wishes they'd brought poison potions or antidotes. Then they find a chest under a sign that says "I got you." They brace to run, open it, and find potions they decide are antidotes.
Bows for days
The cobwebs are the real problem. Both of them keep getting stuck. Water clears webs, so a bucket comes out. On the bright side, the string drops never stop. "Bows for days." "String for days."
The next sign reads "Enhanced Webslasher," and the chest under it holds a sword with Bane of Arthropods III plus Efficiency and Unbreaking at level 1000. "It doesn't break." "That's my new favorite toy." Breaking webs is about to get a lot faster.
Invisible spiders
Then come the poison spiders, and some invisible ones with potions on them. One drops a green splash potion of poison when it dies right next to them. Others drop slime balls. Spawners sit up in the sky over the webs, so they decide to go down first.
Charging the middle goes badly. "There's like a million spiders following you." "Run!" One of them gets stuck in a web, poisoned, down to half a heart. A splash antidote helps. "I just wish I had an endless supply of splash potions." Nobody dies.
Down onto the spawner
Basket pillars up out of the webs and pours water down to clear them. "Oh my gosh, dude, this level looks epic." From up there one of them thinks they can see the fleecy box. Then Scoti jumps straight down onto a spider spawner. "You're the craziest guy." "It's perfect, they can't get to me." Scoti breaks the nearby webs, and before long most of the spawners are gone.
They end there. The counter still reads Basket 47, Scoti 43.
