Infrastructure episode. There is a railway now, and one of the emeralds we collect was found for us by somebody in the comments.

Who built the railway

The episode opens on a rail line running all the way to the new base area, and on a small dispute about credit. Basket says we set up this railway. Scoti asks what this we business is, and suggests Basket just say he set it up.

Basket's compromise is that as a team, Team B.S., we set it up. Scoti lets it go.

Riding it is less relaxing than building it, mostly because there is lava in the blocks above the track in one stretch, which gets a casual mention and no remedial action.

An emerald found by the audience

Worth calling out properly: one of the two emeralds this episode came from the comments. Somebody called Miri52 watched an earlier video, spotted an emerald in the wool area that the pair of them had walked straight past, and said so.

So the first job of the episode is going to collect it. The second one Basket found himself while laying the rail, which is the sort of thing that happens when you finally slow down and build instead of sprinting through caves.

The shield question, again

Basket is back on the fence about shields. His position is that they did not really work out. Scoti's position is that they worked out pretty well, actually, and he says so.

The argument is settled a few minutes later when Basket dies. He is honest about it: he died because he made stupid choices. Scoti's contribution is to suggest that one of those stupid choices was carrying a shield he could not see over properly.

An invisible floor

The find of the episode is a floor that is not there. Basket notices it first and cannot explain it, Scoti cannot see what he is talking about, and then it resolves into something more deliberate: a tripwire, and a trap built around it.

The episode ends on the obvious question, which is whether to break it. Nobody answers.

Also on the to-do list, and not attempted: finishing the bathroom at the base. It is mentioned in the first two minutes and never returned to.
