They go back down into the lower part of Chillblast Mines to look for one more emerald. Scoti dies to an Enderman in the first minute, Basket finds a new record to fight with, and the emerald is in the last place they look.
Don't look at the Enderman
The episode opens with a warning. On the way down there's a ladder that's broken part way, so if you go too far you can't climb back up. A witch goes down first. Then the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Enderman," and Basket asks the obvious question: "You looked at Enderman?"
Scoti's gear is in the hallway past the spot where the creepers blew up. One of them remembers when almost half their videos were them running back to catch up with the other. "Maybe it's not like old times, maybe it's just like times." The way down is a jump into a pool of water placed in the cobwebs.
Lapis and the coal ghost
At the bottom there's lapis, and a question nobody can answer: can a wooden Fortune pickaxe mine it? One of them figures a viewer already checked the wiki, so that settles it.
They also run into what one of them calls a phantom-looking guy, "the coal ghost." It's cool looking. Whether it dropped anything is hard to say, because one of them already has a lot of coal.
Tune of Pyre
A shortcut takes them back up toward the intersection and the chest of good stuff. They're still missing an emerald, and one of them is sure it's up high in the webs. They climb. It's an empty shaft, and their torches up there are gone.
So they try the buildings. A book tells the miners' story again, about the iron pit and miners dying. There's no emerald under the head miner's desk, only a name tag and some armor. Then a treasure chest gives up a record: Tune of Pyre, C418 "blocks," with Sharpness II, Knockback II and Fire Aspect II. It's better than the one Basket was carrying, so it takes that one's place.
Spawners behind the beams
Upstairs the creeper spawner is still going. There are two spawners up there, tucked behind beams. One of them thinks hiding an emerald way up in the webs would be too sneaky for this map. "But what do I know?"
A room they hadn't been in has a creeper spawner and some ice. There's a fight, a chest with melons, and a gold pickaxe that one of them takes because it's super fast. "Well, that's not an emerald, though."
The emerald in the ice
One of them imagines a frozen guy behind the ice holding an emerald. They spot a whole section they haven't been on because they couldn't reach it. Someone sings a few lines about being stuck in the middle, ending on "I just threw away all of your coal." A jump down goes badly enough that one of them worries about their chestplate.
Then the emerald turns up in the ice down at the bottom. "I'm an expert emerald finder." The other says that makes up for Untold Stories 3. They work out that the new one is number eight, and that the emeralds didn't really come in order.
Clay to go
With full inventories, one of them grabs some clay and mentions wanting to play more Craft of the Titans, a modpack they've only tried once. A zombie gets thanked for not hitting anyone during an inventory shuffle, and that's the episode.
