Basket starts out on a small cobblestone resource platform in the middle of the ocean, holding up a map. The plan is a dome under the sea, and after scouting the water this is the spot, far enough from what the narration calls "an unfinished iron golem farm."
A dome drawn in MCEdit
To show the idea, Basket jumps into a creative test world. The main room is a big glass dome on a grass floor, shaped in MCEdit so it could be "shorter than the radius," not a perfect half sphere. Smaller domes come off the sides as extra rooms. In the real world the top will sit about 15 blocks under the surface, with the floor 10 or 15 above bedrock. "It'll definitely be a long term project," the narration says.
Digging out the floor
Back on Inversion, the hole is already started. The lowest layer turns out to be inside the void fog, the narration notes, so it never needed clearing that neatly. One level up, Basket has marked out an 81 by 81 square split into four quarters. A row of glass hangs where the top of the dome will be, measured from the test world. A Fortune pick, the narration says, turned a few diamond pockets into a good haul.
Grass from the Nether side
A new Nether portal comes out in another player's stone brick Nether tunnel, lined with lava windows, so Basket rebuilds the portal in a better spot. A sign on the netherrack now reads "Up the stairs to Basketopia," the name of the new base. With a Silk Touch tool Basket takes three grass blocks from that player's base, picked from spots where they won't be missed. Planted down below with only torchlight, the grass spreads, the narration confirms.
Heads on display
The next update shows a strip-mined level below and the main platform above, a torch-lit grass floor under a stone ceiling with a sign reading "Bottom of Dome (Grass)." The two player heads from the wither fight now stand on pillars of blue blocks with stick arms, and a row of diamond ore sits on the grass, kept as blocks for now. Higher up, the narration says, water drips through, so the surface is close.
Then the plan changes. The narration mentions a dome built of ice on a different server and decides ice beats glass, which "has a kind of ugly texture." The tooltip shows the tool for it: a diamond shovel named Ice Breaker, with Unbreaking III, Efficiency IV and Silk Touch I.
A first ice tray
Basket heads to a snowy biome and builds cobblestone walls and channels of water across a frozen pond, with torches outside the walls and a jumping puzzle to climb in. Chat shows "Th3pooka left the game" while the water sits there. "We're still in UHC mode," the narration points out, so health does not come back on its own. The tray freezes slowly, and the verdict is to "look up a more efficient ice thing."
The first fall
Next comes a death screen: "BasketMC fell from a high place." The narration explains: low on health, Basket went to another player's base to heal, jumped down a shaft behind a big head statue, and missed the water drop at the bottom. "The first death on the server," the narration says, and not "in some sort of glorious combat."
Basket respawns beside a bed on a cobblestone platform in the ocean, goes back through the Nether and rides a minecart along a rail line there. Back at the other player's base the items are still on the floor, and a tooltip shows "BasketMC's Head" among them. The episode ends with Basket's inventory open and the end card over it, with the ice tray still waiting on a better design.
