Episode 7 of RainCloud SMP turns from water and lava to animals. The mob sorter under the sky farm needs mobs of its own to scare the others along, and the opening line sets the goal: "We are looking to make some kitty babies and some doggy babies for a sorter." Basket and Scoti_Garbidis spend the video getting cats from Evil_Mech_Meru and herding them to the farm. By the end the cats are sitting in place on the sorter, and dogs are next.
A visit for kittens
They find Evil_Mech_Meru in a big stone hall full of purple decorations, with cats wandering the floor. The hall is open to the sky: "You're on a server called RainCloud, and you have no roof." Evil_Mech_Meru answers mostly in chat. "You get black cats!"
The order is "three cats and three dogs" plus one villager: a cat on either side of the pit on the cat side and a dog on either side on the dog side, "to make the mobs run away." Chat asks the obvious question: "So basically you are stealing 3 of my cats?" Then: "fine by me." The kittens still have to grow up, and only their owner can lead them.
The long walk
The trip goes through the Nether and down a rail tunnel, cats trailing behind. "Basket, basket, basket, stop!" A cat nearly gets pushed off a hill. Then chat reports "I lost one."
The portal is the worst of it. Sitting cats will not move, moving cats get pushed back to the wrong side, and Evil_Mech_Meru gets stuck in the portal, lagging. "They're back in the Nether." One of them claims to be the cat whisperer and gets one through. A storm rolls in along the way.
Cats on the sorter
At the farm the cats come up to the cobblestone platform over the trapdoor floor. Two go by the torches in a little cubby. The third has to sit "in that back corner up in there," so that creepers get driven the right way. One cat is already grown, and dirt goes down around the edges "to keep them from falling off." There is a short argument about half slabs, which one of them puts down so mobs will not spawn there.
One stubborn cat
The last cat will not cooperate. It gets stuck in the glass wall of what one of them calls "the containment facility," and they think it keeps following its parents. Make it sit, push it, it stands up again. "All of our stuff usually works. We just edited so that it looks like we know what we're doing." Eventually it goes up the stairs and sits where it belongs. "Cat whisperer, man."
Where it ends
The episode wraps up with thanks to Evil_Mech_Meru and an idea to get them a cool skin as a thank-you. After the end cards comes a short tag. One of them acts it out: "I'm a creeper." A creeper runs from the cats toward the far corner, and a skeleton runs from the dogs. "And then I fall in the pit." "We did it right." The last frame shows Scoti_Garbidis on the trapdoor floor next to the dirt.
