Episode 2 of BlackBelt UHC picks up right where the first one stopped: underground, next to a stack of furnaces full of iron. The title card reads "BlackBelt UHC Feb 2017, Episode 2." Basket is on the red team with Subek1969, and nobody has been knocked out yet.
Iron in the furnaces
The first few minutes are about turning ore into gear. Basket pulls iron out of the furnaces and works through the crafting grid, while the call talks over who gets which piece of armor. Chat shows johnfal_92 earning "Time to Strike!" and Scoti_Garbidis earning "Monster Hunter," so the white and blue teams are busy too.
When Basket opens the Tab list, all six players are still in the match. Scoti_Garbidis and a second name cut off at the top are in blue, BlackBeltCrafter and johnfal_92 in white, and BasketMC and Subek1969 in red. Every health bar is full or close to it.
Subek1969 turns up near the furnaces, and the pair talk over a plan. On the call, a voice suggests stair-stepping down in search of lower caves and, with luck, diamonds.
Lava in the way
So the red team digs. The tunnels turn up coal and more iron, and a voice on the call reports a ravine, then lapis, which means diamond level is not far off. Then lava spills across the floor of the tunnel in front of Basket. "Please don't kill me," a voice says.
Emeralds and lapis
The digging opens into a cave network. Basket finds emerald ore in a wall beside a gravel floor and mines it, then a vein of lapis a little further on. By the end of the episode the inventory holds two emeralds, a big stack of lapis and two gold ingots, but no diamonds yet.
A creeper in the dark
In a side cave, a creeper is waiting on the floor. Basket swings at it, and it blows up close by. Basket comes through it still standing and keeps going.
The call drops
Late in the episode the voice call cuts out for Basket, so Basket and Subek1969 keep in touch through chat instead. Basket smelts more iron, crafts a backup iron pickaxe, and keeps mining.
Shrink activated
Near the end, johnfal_92 asks in chat, "should we pause?" Then the server posts "UHC BLOX | Mark | 40 Minutes," followed by "UHC BLOX | Shrink | Activated." The border has started to close in.
Basket ends the episode underground with nine and a half hearts, an armor bar three-quarters full, and level 10. No death lines have appeared in chat, and the episode fades out to the end card.
