Episode 6 picks up at the portal the Librarians built at the end of Episode 5. TChels stands next to it with a diamond sword, and the card reads "Episode 6, What's in the Nether?" The answer comes fast.
Straight into lava
xmods13 steps into the portal first. A few seconds later chat reads "xmods13 tried to swim in lava," then "TChels tried to swim in lava." On voice: "Straight in lava." "Is it trapped or what?" "It's not trapped. It's just how it spawned." The portal on the other side came out on the edge of a hanging platform with nothing but lava under it.
Chat fills with "gg" from the other teams. Basket types "cry." optimus1971 answers "BOOHOO bASKET." The two deaths wake the border: "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" Basket is now the only Librarian left. "Well, all right, let's see. So it's just me."
Basket checks the base chest and decides not to go through the Nether.
More falls while the border moves
Chat keeps going. "optimus1971 tried to swim in lava to escape xzosimusx." Then "xzosimusx was slain by Th3pooka" and "Sayulily was slain by Th3pooka." Then: "Soul Crusher is coming! (The World Border is shrinking)."
Basket goes to look and finds the wall close. "The border is shrinking, we need to go." The plan is to dig away from it, then pillar up. It stops, starts again, and stops. "Okay, so the border has stopped moving. Now I can think a little bit."
Up to the surface
Scoti_Garbidis joins the game, and Basket asks in chat whether Scoti_Garbidis is spectating. The answers in chat are "no," then "yes." Basket replies ":P" and keeps climbing and comes out into daylight. "Okay, so I'm on the surface now. I have a bow with some arrows. Let's look around. Do we see anybody? Any names? No."
With dusk coming, Basket heads away from the wall and reaches a swamp where the water is all lava. "Ooh, a swamp. That's dangerous." The trees along the edge are burning.
Chat posts "FriarNurgle fell from a high place." Basket types "gg" and guesses FriarNurgle was low on health and took one small hit.
Tunneling toward the middle
The new plan is to dig into a wall and tunnel under the lava swamp, toward the middle of the map, since the border will keep closing. "I'm not used to being alone usually." The Tab list shows most of the remaining players low on hearts, with Basket still at full health and a golden apple in the hotbar.
Basket passes a ravine, hears lava overhead and sees drips that "used to be water. Now it's lava," so the tunnel stays low. The border warning comes around again. Then chat reads "PsychoSFK was shot by pikerize." Basket: "Oh wow, look at that." pikerize was down to one heart on the Tab list. "So I could win this if I'm able to get the jump on somebody."
The episode ends underground with the server line "End of Day 6. Players remaining:" and five names: Th3pooka, pikerize, Gopherboy, Virii333 and BasketMC. Basket is alive, alone, and still digging toward the middle. "All by myself."
