Episode 2 picks up underground, right where Episode 1 ended. Chat is still full of "gg" for Klaus_Endomere, shot by a skeleton, and MomofMiners writes, "everyone is dropping like flies." Three of the fourteen players are out. Basket and Jadelf are still in.
The border moves again
Every death wakes the map's Soul Crusher. First comes "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" and then, right on time, "Soul Crusher is coming!" and "The World Border is shrinking 150 blocks over 5 minutes." The team dug in close to the edge in Episode 1, so now the job is to get away from it. Basket keeps cutting through the stone with a stone pickaxe, lighting the way with torches, while Jadelf works alongside.
For Why People?
Chat stays busy. bjaydubya writes, "sooooo many diamonds...jeez," and MomofMiners answers, "they're EVERYwhere." Basket replies with "FWP," short for first world problems, which is where this episode gets its name. Finalflame adds, "I'm building a base out of diamond blocks now." MomofMiners is stuck on the letters: "FWP?" and then a guess, "For Why People?"
A creeper in the dark
Deeper in the caves a creeper walks out of the dark toward Basket. Basket kills it, and chat posts that BasketMC has earned Monster Hunter.
A look at the Tab list shows where the match stands: eleven players with health, and Frank_n_Honest, Scoti_Garbidis and Klaus_Endomere at the bottom with none. MomofMiners asks the whole server, "anyone above ground?"
Back to daylight
The answer for Basket is yes, soon. The team climbs and swims up through the caves and comes out beside a river in a thick forest, in full daylight. Basket clears out a few chickens on the way.
The day does not last. By dark Basket is crossing grassy hills with snow on the peaks, hunting cows for food. Basket earns Cow Tipper, and thepigglesworth replies in chat with a "gg." Jadelf turns up among the pumpkins with an iron sword out.
Digging in for the night
They head on through a dark swamp, then dig a staircase down out of the night. At the bottom the furnaces come out again: raw chicken goes in and cooked chicken comes out. When Basket checks the inventory near the end, there is an iron chestplate in the armor slot. The Tab list still shows the same eleven players.
The episode ends with both of them alive and underground, Jadelf at the far end of the new tunnel.
