Episode 8 is the last episode of the season. It opens where Episode 7 left off, in the underground room with the enchanting table and anvil, with Basket and Jadelf both alive and six players left in the match.
Six players left
Basket sets up the hotbar for a fight: sword, pickaxe, a water bucket, dirt and cobblestone. A Tab list check shows six players with health: Finalflame, nihontiger, BasketMC, Jadelf, Bakerbelle and thepigglesworth. Finalflame and nihontiger are near full health, and Basket has about eight hearts.
Under the water
The pair head off down a long stone tunnel. A voice on the call spots "two names" on a ridge across the water. Crossing the open water would mean "they're going to see us coming," so the plan is to dig down, go under the water and come up beneath them.
The tunnel runs on through stone and dirt for several minutes. Water drips through in places, and the advice is to put torches on the upper block so a flow will not wash them out. A voice reports "names above us," then "that's teal, I think." Near the top the torches go away, so the light will not give them away.
The shaft opens into a swamp with vines hanging from the trees. The two climb out and creep through a forest floor full of flowers, looking for the other team.
The cliff
They find nihontiger on a grassy cliff above a swamp river, in a diamond chestplate with a shield and an enchanted sword. Basket runs up the slope and the two trade blows along the edge, with nihontiger holding up the shield. Then Basket goes over the side and drops into the river below.
Finalflame in the water
Finalflame is in the water too. Basket fights in the river, eats a golden apple, and keeps swinging, but the hearts keep dropping until only one is left. Then chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Finalflame," followed by "Your game mode has been updated to Spectator Mode." A few seconds later comes "Jadelf was shot by Finalflame."
Spectating
That ends the season for Basket and Jadelf. Basket is now spectating from a glass box high above the map, with Jadelf there too. Bakerbelle and thepigglesworth type "gg," Finalflame answers "GG," and the map posts "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" Tavinnea writes "wow," Scoti_Garbidis adds "gg," Bakerbelle types "yikes," and Jadelf answers "YIKES!"
The players from the earlier Tab list who are still in are Finalflame, nihontiger, Bakerbelle and thepigglesworth. The episode does not show how the match ends or who wins. After the end cards, the whole episode plays again in reverse, back to the team cards from the start.
