The tavern has grown since the last stream. It started as one floor of walls, and now it stands three stories tall in white bone block and spruce. Basket checks the street for creepers, patches the road with gravel, and then gives a tour.
A tour of the tavern
The ground floor is the main tavern room, with a kitchen and bar planned along one side and tables in the rest. The second floor is a balcony with more seating, maybe a couple of private dining areas. Downstairs, the first basement floor is just empty space for now. Stone brick may line it, and more stairs will lead down to where the portal will go.
The third floor is rooms: small bedrooms off a narrow hallway, each with space for a bed and a chest. One gap between walls is too small for much, so Basket floats the idea of a chest hidden behind a painting. The roof isn't planned yet. Basket is "thinking dark oak," and the attic could hold a main suite, or the home of whoever runs the place.
One owner, two buildings
The third floor is only the overflow. "The actual inn itself will actually be the neighboring building," Basket explains, with the same owner as the tavern. The tavern takes the first two floors here, the inn has its own front desk next door, and small skyways will cross the road between the two buildings, probably at the third floor.
To make the room floors line up across that bridge, Basket lowers the bone block band on the tavern's top floor with a silk touch pickaxe, then builds the inn from the top floor down. The diamond axe is close to breaking the whole time. "Today will be the death of this axe." Basket finally makes an iron axe and retires the diamond one before it goes.
Rooms, one, two, three
Most of the inn is counting. Rooms are three wide, with a hallway between them, and the stairs move several times before they fit. Basket likes the idea that "each person on the server," until the rooms run out, could have one. The next floor down gets "even cheaper rooms," some only two by two. On the floor with the entrance there's a reception area, an office in the corner behind the front desk, and a common room. Two tiny windowless rooms become bathrooms. "I guess I could have a privy."
Windows end up two wide. Between the inn and whatever gets built next door, Basket wants a one-block alley to let in light and carry rainwater down to the street.
Who's around
The chat log shows other players on the server. Early on, johnfal_92 writes "have be careful with the dogs around," and pikerize answers "HYeah." Later "Shippogirl16 joined the game," and johnfal_92 goes away from the keyboard more than once.
The bone blocks run out again near the end. A whole night of standing at the skeleton farm is "used up basically," and Basket says it took a lot of spruce too. Right before the credits, johnfal_92 writes "i heard that - and was impressed that you had gone through 9 stacks already."
The inn's upper floors are framed, the entrance floor is laid out, and the inside is still bare. Furniture and the tavern's top floor are left for later. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
