Fal Tavern has walls, floors and furniture now, but it is still open to the sky. Basket starts with a quick tour of the work done off camera, then spends the rest of the stream on top of the building with a stack of dark oak.
Stools, tables and a front desk
A "Fal Tavern" sign hangs by the front doors now. Inside, the main room has tables and stools, and Basket isn't sold on the stools yet. One part of the room sits a little high on purpose: there may be a villager working here one day, and Basket wants it out of reach of zombies. Just one, "so they don't breed." The kitchen is still empty. Upstairs, the balcony looks down on the main room, with a bigger table and three small private dining areas.
The bone shortage is over for now. "There's plenty of bones," thanks to time spent at the spawner. At the inn, the front desk counter is high too, with a slab behind it so a villager receptionist will stand at the right height. The two little rooms meant as bathrooms are on hold until Basket reads up on how bathrooms worked in medieval towns. "I want to be kind of authentic."
The nether portal plan changes as well. Instead of sitting in the tavern basement, it may end up in a bookstore with a secret bookcase leading to a "dark arts" room, so it fits the theme.
Dirt scaffolding
The roof is dark oak. The tavern is a skinny building, so Basket picks the slope direction that keeps it from being "a really steep roof." It will stick out over the edge, and the second building's roof can slope its own way.
Building a roof in survival means falling off it. Basket props each layer of stairs on dirt, because a shovel clears dirt faster than an axe clears wood, and talks up slime blocks, which break with a bare fist. Rain keeps falling on the job, and the server has a chat command for that: "BasketMC: Blew away the dark clouds."
Scoti stops by
Partway through, the chat log shows "Scoti_Garbidis joined the game" and "<Scoti_Garbidis> o/". Basket answers in all caps, "SCOTI GARBITIZ," and Scoti_Garbidis asks, "you be streaming? i should be watching."
Room for two more floors
From the street, the roof looks steep but not silly. From inside, it is huge. "I can almost have two floors in the roof," Basket says, and maybe an attic on top. The tavern's owner could live up here, in the sloped space. A slab goes on the very top "so we don't have any spawns," and the dirt comes out.
The first dormer
The last job is a window bay sticking out of the roof slope, worked out from a reference photo. Basket cuts an opening, lines it with bone block on the inside, and drops it lower so you can actually see out. From the ground, one side of the roof around it gets pushed out a block further.
Basket still thinks it "needs something," but leaves it for now, with plans to copy it along the roof and maybe hide a piston door in one of the bays. The roof itself is finished on the tavern, with the dormers and the neighboring roof left for next time. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
