The secret roof hatch in the Fal Inn works now. Basket opens the stream with a quick tour: the tavern, the inn beside it, the catwalks between them, and the top floor where Fal, who owns both buildings, lives. One button opens the roof and lets Basket out under the eaves, and another closes it again. "Tada!" What's left up here is making the rooms look like somewhere a person lives.
Swapping out the roof wood
Some of the inside walls were built from the same dark wood as the roof, and Basket wants them to match the rest of the interior. Not every block can change. A quick look at the debug screen shows some of them are stairs, part of the roof itself, so those stay. The rest get swapped for spruce, and torches go in so nothing spawns. One odd spot in the wall, where the hatch's pistons sit, still needs hiding. After moving some blocks around and adding stairs inside, Basket calls it "reasonable enough, I think. I think it's better."
Paintings, one click at a time
Paintings come next, which means placing one and clicking through the options until the right picture turns up. Basket has nicknames for them, like "the woodcutter guy" and "Pinocchio." A small one that might be a fruit bowl gets used too. A viewer suggests a painting to the left of a door to break up a bare wall, and Basket finds one that fits.
The bedroom gets a bed and some storage, and the living area gets a couch made of oak stairs. "I don't really know how to decorate. That's something I haven't worked on." It's done for now, until Basket knows what else should go in.
The game that keeps freezing
This is where the title comes from. Every so often the game locks up, the video cuts, and Basket comes back with "and we're back." The first suspect is the bed, since it seems to happen after walking on it. JJBonsig joins the server to test, and reports in chat: "I just walked back and forth and jumped up and down on the bed and my game doesn't freeze."
Basket tries it with and without the bed, and waits for an autosave to test that theory too. Then the game freezes while Basket is standing still nowhere near a bed. "I'm running just straight vanilla." By the end there's still no answer. "Yeah, I wish we had an answer."
A row of small buildings
The rest of the stream goes to new buildings along a back alley behind the bigger ones. They follow the same pattern as the rest of town, three blocks between each divider, but shorter, so they don't crowd the alley. Basket wants players to be able to move around across the rooftops, so it's time for a test: a sprint jump from the new roof slope gets Basket in under the next roof. It works.
The first building gets a tiny one-by-two door to the street, a ladder and hatch up into a small attic, and stairs planned along the wall with no windows. Its neighbor shares a wall with it, and a cobblestone foundation pokes through where the ground slopes. Mobs start spawning back in the alley, so torches go in there too.
By the end, the first shell is up and the second is underway, neither with a roof yet, and the next one down the slope drops far enough to have second-floor windows. Basket ends the stream back in Fal's rooms by the secret door. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
