Episode 81 starts with a fix for getting lost in the keep at Basket Castle. Off camera, Basket put in doors wherever doors were always going to go, so the stairs, the eating area and the kitchen are easier to tell apart. "I'll put in doors to try and help figure out, you know, where to go." Basket is the only player seen in the game.
Pulling the balcony back
At the end of the last episode the dining hall balcony looked too big. Basket moves it back, which gives the main floor more room before the support pillars and lines up better with the structure below. A spruce fence goes around the edge of the balcony. The 24 fences on hand are not enough, so more get crafted. The space up top could be for viewing or for more tables, for anyone who is not quite cool enough for the main floor.
The back wall will likely get a window, with a small royal table facing out from it "so you can sit here and see everybody." A spot beside it is marked with a slab for a possible secret door.
Windows, two ways
The dining hall gets bigger windows to let in more sunlight. Basket fetches glass panes, which have not gone into any build here until now, and tries two versions of the stair trim around the windows to see which looks better.
Then it is out a door and down to the ground to look from outside. One version looks better from out there, the other from inside. "So really what I want is like half stairs that are stairs on both sides." Basket goes back and forth and settles on trying one for now, with room for a table under the window.
More room to eat, and light for the kitchen
The eating area stretches over the kitchen into a back corner of the tower, "for all the many people we're planning on having to eat over. It's a big feast." The kitchen gets long, one-tall windows set high in the wall, so they stay out of the way of whatever kitchen things go below. Those have to be placed from outside, with a bit of scaffolding. The secret tunnel gets closed up here so it can link to the rest of the secret passages, and a thin sliver of secret space along one wall may get a painting as its hidden entrance.
Up the tower
The tower turns out smaller than planned because it sits right up against the keep. One opening becomes a plain window to look out of, not one to shoot from. Then the walls climb, with stone slab stairs going around and around inside. The plan is for the top of the keep to rise above the highest castle wall, maybe three more levels, with each of the four towers going higher still. The tower will also go well down into a basement. When it starts getting dark, Basket skips the night.
A new floor gets a big window split into two sets of five, with a view over the castle walls toward the start of the village. The outside of the tower stays plain for now, to be styled later with the rest.
The next floor
The last stretch lays birch floors across the whole next level. Basket guesses it will be bedrooms. A hallway might run across, moved off center because the stairs take up space, and pillars may come up from below for support. A front room once meant as a balcony for calling down to people could become a private dining room. The torches are everywhere for now, and lighting will be its own project later. Basket figures the upper rooms will have great views out over the town. The credits run to the end with no gameplay after them.
