Episode 120 opens inside one of the Basket Castle towers with a stack of stairs to make and some roof work to finish. By the end, the work has moved outside, to the ground behind the castle and a new path through the courtyard. Basket is the only player in the game; the in-game chat shows nothing but the server's autosave messages.
Fixing the seams
The tower has a problem where the roof meets the walls. "We have these sort of seams in between, so we want to fix that all up." That means pulling out part of the roof and adding transition pieces. Basket tries a couple of shapes and settles on full birch planks running straight through. "Yeah, I think it's a little better."
Then it's the same job floor by floor, with a light check after each one. "We're doing overkill on lighting for now." On one floor Basket adds the trim to the near wall but not the far one, because it "adds a little bit of extra support for the floor" above. The bottom room gets nothing: "I don't know what's gonna be down here, so I'm not gonna worry about it."
A door three blocks wide
Next is the doorway, which is three blocks wide. Basket finds smooth stone, crafts stairs to support the beam over it, and thinks about what kind of door could fill a gap that size. A portcullis comes up, but there are no mechanisms for one. Iron doors it is.
To stop the doors connecting to the wall, that wall becomes stairs. Each iron door hinges inward, and the way the blocks sit, the pair reads like large double doors, each one about a block and a half wide. "So I think that works for a door." Two torches go in on the inside.
Sculpting the back
Behind the castle, the ground needs work. Basket goes looking for dirt in the shulker boxes upstairs, finds none, and runs over to the other part of the base for more. Earlier, this area only got a layer of cobblestone with things on top. Now it gets filled in and shaped into "a natural transition between the layers." A road will run through here later, so it will need smoothing out anyway. Some of it is switched to grass.
A look at the statistics screen puts the time played on this world at just short of 20 days.
A path through the courtyard
The rest of the stream goes into a path inside the walls. Basket picks cobblestone, gravel and mossy stone, plus some slabs, then digs out a route that snakes through, widening where it turns. It stays fairly close to the wall on one side, because "I want some room to build some buildings here." Building on a diagonal turns out to be tricky, and the cobblestone runs low.
Along the way Basket shows the castle's defenses: a drawbridge out front over a big drop, a barracks that is still empty, and a hill at the back where a road will go someday. There's no moat, though maybe "a spiked pit or something" down below someday.
An opening used as a shortcut gets sealed up with smooth stone. Then part of the path shifts a little to the right, still three wide, with grass filling in beside it. Torches go down for now, until "a better lighting" idea comes along.
Secret doors and the Royal Tower
To finish, Basket walks through the castle's secret door plan. For now each one is just planks in the wall, "very secret." Many will be a painting on one side with signs behind it. A whole floor is hidden, with ladders leading down, and a big staircase climbs to the Royal Tower. It has plenty of windows and no furniture yet, and the royal bedroom up top is still waiting for its bed. The credits run to the end with no gameplay after them.
