This Season 2 video on GopherCraft's multiplayer server is about one kerbal. Tatiana Kerman is aboard Death Blossom V, a huge craft circling Kerbin that the commentary treats as another player's work, and a card at the start says the opening minutes carry that player's audio. First Basket tries to knock the craft out with Basketopia Minefield probes. When that fails, Space Bus 4 goes up with Dotty Kerman to bring Tatiana home instead. Tatiana gets out and flies free on a jetpack, and the bus comes close more than once, but the two never meet. The video ends with Dotty back on Kerbin and Tatiana still drifting in orbit.
Minefield against the Death Blossom
Basketopia Minefield leaves the pad with every seat empty and climbs to orbit, its flight screen reading Target: Death Blossom V. The carrier chases the target first ("this isn't a docking port mission, this is a torpedo mission"), but its fuel runs low, so the probes come off in one burst of smoke. The commentary picks one probe, sets the Death Blossom as its target and points it there, but the little engines run dry long before anything gets close.
A second carrier goes up to try again, now that the target controls make more sense. This time the plan is to match the Death Blossom's speed first and then close in. The carrier ends up a little faster, the gap keeps growing, and a long burn to slow down only drops it out of orbit. "All right, fine, you win." The carrier comes down through the atmosphere in a ball of fire. "Oh, it's overheating, look at that."
Space Bus 4
With the attack over, the saving half begins. In the Vehicle Assembly Building the Space Bus 3 design gets RCS for fine control: Place-Anywhere 7 Linear RCS Ports and a small RCS tank. "I don't really know how RCS works." The crew screen gets just one kerbal, Dotty Kerman, and the ship flies as Space Bus 4.
Getting into orbit is the easy part. Getting near the Death Blossom takes the better part of half an hour in map view. Advice read out on the recording says to make small burns at the closest point and pull the two orange markers together, and slowly the gap shrinks to a few kilometers. Then comes a better idea: "Another option is, I could make Tatiana get out."
Tatiana on a jetpack
The commentary switches to the Death Blossom, and Tatiana climbs out into open space beside a wall of orange tanks, with a [B]: Board prompt still on screen. The Focus label reads Tatiana Kerman. With Space Bus 4 set as the target, Tatiana fires the jetpack and heads across the gap.
The bus marker counts down from almost three kilometers, and the commentary works the speed down toward zero. "I can see it! Wait for me!" Then the jetpack runs dry with the bus still out of reach. "So, so close. I can't do anything, I'm out of juice."
The chase
Space Bus 4 takes over the chase, its marker reading Tatiana Kerman 860.3m.
Getting there is harder than it looks. Burning toward Tatiana changes the bus's speed, and matching the speed pulls it off course. On one pass the commentary puts the gap at about a hundred meters. A stray press of the spacebar drops an engine early ("stupid space bar"), and the distance creeps back up to kilometers. "It's only seven kilometers. We were really close." Then the call: "Sorry Tatiana, you are now an orbiting satellite."
Dotty comes home
So the bus brings Dotty back, "that way we don't lose two kerbals in this mess." A burn drops the orbit into the atmosphere, the spent engines go, and the capsule comes in wrapped in flame. The commentary expects the solar panels to burn off and does not mind.
It splashes down in the water at night. "Dotty is back." The Mission Summary for Space Bus 4 lists a Crew Report from Kerbin's Water and the Recovery of a vessel returned from Kerbin orbit, for 10 science and a total of 279.
Where it ends
The video ends at the Space Center with Dotty recovered and Tatiana still floating free in Kerbin orbit, near the Death Blossom and out of jetpack fuel. The commentary says the attempt taught a lot about targets and closing in, and floats coming back later, maybe with a rocket aimed at the Death Blossom or some kind of space net.
