Episode 3 left the symbol grid in the Crystal Lab locked. This video glances at it once, sets it aside, and goes through a gate that has opened on the other side of town. The game names the new place the Watchtower, and most of the episode goes into the torch, a telescope, and a row of buttons that make either a happy or a sad sound. It ends with the telescope aimed at a lens in a window.
Through the open gate
The video opens at the grid of symbol buttons with the notebook sketch from last time. The symbols "don't really match up," so the commentary decides "I'm going to ignore this for now." By pulling down the box on the lab wall, "a gate somewhere has opened up," and Basket goes looking for it. The gate is unlocked, and past it the game puts up "Area Discovered: Watchtower."
On a rock by the path is a holder that fits "the torch I got earlier." The glowing crystal torch goes in, and it can be taken out and put back.
A lens and a crystal
A lever beside a dark round lamp in the rock gets pulled, and afterward a symbol on one building is lit. Inside another building is a hanging dish on ropes. One object from earlier "separates out these two crystals," but Basket takes it back.
Down at a small dock there is a lens on a cloth beside a sealed envelope, and a journal page: "one of the island's most common endemic minerals can be used as a weak but consistent energy source." Nearby, a tall clear crystal holds a small key-shaped object. "Somehow I need to try and get this crystal to release this tool."
The telescope lights the lamp
Upstairs is a telescope that can be looked through and turned. The torch fits on it too. With the torch on the telescope and the telescope aimed just right, the lamp in the rock lights up. "Oh, there we go. I figured it out."
Happy and sad buttons
Round white posts with buttons stand along the walkways, past a spot the game calls the South Passage. Some make a "happy sound," one a "very sad sound." A gate back into town is open now, but a broken bridge blocks a shortcut, and a door marked with a symbol can't be used yet.
At a group of three buttons, pressing the middle one turns the other two off. Taking the torch away lowers things as well. "I didn't really expect that."
Where it ends
"Oh, I still have this lens thing." The lens goes into a ring by a window: "now we're in business." Basket turns the telescope toward that building, light shows at the ring, and there is a happy sound. "We'll run up to that." The video fades out on the walk there, before anything is seen opening.
