This stream of Quern picks up at the light machine where Episode 21 stopped, with three numbers to work through: 70, 347 and 248. The first target falls after a walk to see it up close. The second will not answer, and following a lit cable leads to posts that teleport between places, a panel of six lights and a box of pipes. The video ends after a meeting with a glowing light that gives its name as Gamana.
Aiming at 70
"This is where we left off." The machine shoots a beam with a symbol on it, and the symbol is set by swinging round glass lenses in and out of a frame. Another control turns the whole building. The commentary turns it slowly until it points at 70: "in theory there's going to be something at 70 that we'll want to shoot."
Something does sit out there, with a small blue dot next to it, but signaling it from the tower does nothing. Up close, it opens and shows the symbol it wants: "an X with a line to the bottom." Back in the tower, a few lenses swap around until the window above the frame shows it. "There we go. I have unlocked or powered, I guess, I've powered that thing."
A stumper at 347
The second number goes less well. The building turns to 347, but the target there will not open, and its cable runs up to a platform out of reach. "That's a little bit of a stumper." A viewer asks whether the first one has to be done first. The commentary follows the first target, now lit, to an area nearby, where a door that was shut is now open: "because we've lit up that thing that has unlocked this door, I believe."
Teleporting
Inside are metal posts with a handprint on them, marked A and B, and a light that can be turned toward them. Pointed the right way, the beam carries Basket from one post to the other: "so you can teleport through... so this is a teleporting back and forth thing."
Nearby is a letter: "My goal has become to readjust the gateway and to make this world more easily approachable." Its writer took the crystals out of an ancient gateway, "I imprisoned myself in this world for the sake of science," and "had to demolish several Dulmarian buildings." A missing piece of something goes into the inventory.
Six lights
The longest stretch goes to a six-sided panel with a lever and a row of pedals under it. Each pedal turns a set of the six lights on or off, and the set changes with the lever up or down. The commentary writes them out ("this one is one, four... this one is 2, 4, and 6") and starts flipping lights to send the beam from one relay to the next. "Oh, this is even telling me where the lights are going. How convenient." Lit lines on the panel show the path.
It takes a few tries and one step undone, but the beam reaches post B. "We beat it, we beat it everybody. Why did I want to do that?"
Pipes and a second lens
Aimed again, the beam teleports Basket to a third post, next to a box of pipe pieces. The goal is to run the signal down to the bottom. "I'm really good at puzzles," the commentary says, and after a dead end the pipes connect. That opens one more handprint, and "we picked up another lens."
Back at the tower, the new lens goes into the frame, "so now we can do even more symbol options." The 248 target wants a symbol with a line on the right and a line at the bottom, and none of the lenses on hand can make it: "I think I'm gonna need something here." The commentary also checks a locked spot near what it calls a broken portal: "we have 1/4 of the key to get into this thing."
Through the lighthouse
The next try is the lighthouse: "Can we attach this thing to the lighthouse?" An item will not go on directly, but then: "can we do this and then this? Okay, now we're on to something." A look through the lens, a flash of green, and "we teleported." A book there talks about a chain of interconnected worlds.
Where it ends
Outside, a glowing teal light floats along a fenced path and the subtitles give its words: "Now I see... He trapped you here." Then: "My name is Gamana. I'm protecting this world." It says "He is playing you just as he once played me," says to obey his rules for now, and promises that "our time will come." The commentary: "that's the end of the stream. Clip hanger." The video ends on that path, with the 347 and 248 targets still unsolved.
