The challenge
Naked & Afraid, the July 2014 Minecraft Hardcore Challenge, had one objective: survive. The catch was the rules. No armor, no swords or bows, no eating meat, and no leaving the jungle biome. Basket plays with a partner, and both players have to survive.
Host Michael Deering's other rules were no AFK crop growth, no exploring the world in another copy, and no speedups or off-camera play, in hardcore mode on Minecraft 1.7.9. The nine videos, Episodes 1 to 8 plus an Episode 4.5, went up between July 4 and July 28, 2014.
