Day four of Nether Adventure picks up on the nether brick walkway where day three stopped. "Welcome back, guys! We've got to pick up our gear." The armor that came off for the team photo goes back on, and over the first few minutes the nameplates of optimus1971, lostinthefort and Scoti_Garbidis all pass in front of Basket. Team ScoOpBaLo has found its fortress. Now the job is to live in it.
A blaze in the hallway
"Looks like a Blaze Spawner right there." "Yeah, let's get these guys." A blaze shows up in the corridor and the stone swords go at it until it vanishes in a puff of smoke. In the scramble someone asks, "Whoa, good lord, who's on fire?" The answer: "I'm all right." The team blocks off the intersections so the mobs "can't get all the way down to us."
A central room
Then a sensible idea: "Do we want to put a chest down somewhere in case one of us dies, we can at least have a cache of stuff." One room becomes the "temporary little HQ," and everyone dumps gear into a large chest to see what the team really has. Not much. "We got 13 iron, that's it?" Furnaces go down to smelt it. The chat shows Scoti_Garbidis earning an achievement. Someone wants to "roll the dice on the egg" in Basket's inventory and hears "Not yet, dude." The egg and three seeds get saved in case a chicken ever turns up.
Many 1 2 3s
The fortress has chests, and the team has a rule for them. Everyone gathers, counts "one, two, three," and opens together. That is where the title comes from: "No, this is 123. They're not chests." The first one gives up gold, a golden sword and a saddle ("That's for you, Lost!"). Nether wart turns up nearby, and later talk turns to brewing: "We could brew some potions." Another chest holds gold horse armor. Not everyone sticks to the rule. "Somebody didn't count!"
Three diamonds
"Ready? One, two, three. Whoa. Diamonds." A chest at the end of a hallway holds three of them beside some gold ingots. The joke comes right away: "I'm taking them to the lava." "Oh man, you're so dead." The diamonds go into the team chest instead: "Yeah, I put three diamonds in there." The mood stays grim anyway. "We're almost halfway through the series, and we've accomplished nothing."
Wither skeletons
This is what the walls were for. "Wither, wither skeleton... there are two of them." A wither skeleton stands at the end of a corridor under a cobblestone ceiling, with a zombie pigman behind it. The team lines up ("I'm on the left, I'm in the middle, I'm on the right") and the wither skeleton goes down in a puff of smoke. "Good lord man, that was crazy." Then: "I hear blazes, I think they're above us." With "like five minutes" left, the team keeps exploring.
Back to base
"Should we go back to base?" The HQ fills up: more chests and furnaces, a patch of red mushrooms ("Think this is big enough to grow mushrooms?") and a pool of lava set into the floor ("There's still lava in the middle"). There is talk of a "tree room" on the side. "We're gonna end the episode here in about 10 seconds."
The day ends with the team gathered by the chests and a "see you next time." No death line shows in chat, and all four finish day four alive with a real home base at last. The credits roll, and nothing comes after them.
