Episode 3 opens with "GopherCraft SMP" over Mount BasketMC, then a title card reading "Episode 3, Armor Shop" over Basket standing on an empty plot at spawn. The idea is simple. Basket's zombie grinder keeps turning out armor, far more than Basket can wear, so spawn is getting an armor shop.
A plot at spawn
Basket claimed this plot a long time ago, and "it's actually been a while since I played on the server." Something new has gone up next door that Basket has to work around, and there is a new neighbor on the other side ("Ooh, a studio"). Basket checks that neither build gets in the other's way, then lays the foundation.
Everything is nether brick. Basket has piles of it from smelting down all the netherrack dug out of the Nether, which is part of why it got picked. The windows will be brown stained glass panes, and the back wall gets none, because chests will stack up against it.
Walls and a roof in the rain
The walls go up with nether brick stairs framing the windows, though Basket is working from a design made a while ago and is not quite sure of it ("Pretty sure that's how I did it"). Sixteen panes turn out to be enough. Then rain rolls in and the roof goes on in the dark. Basket would like a quartz ceiling but has no quartz, so the roof is plain nether brick stairs with a half slab along the top "just so that monsters don't spawn."
Iron doors and a row of buttons
Iron doors go on the front, because they "will look nicer." Then Basket finds a pile of buttons in the inventory and has to stop and think. "Oh, I remember." The old plan had buttons running around the outside of the building, so they go up in a row along the front wall. A plain button goes on the inside.
Chests to the ceiling
Inside, the chests stack in columns one block off the wall, with stairs set in so each chest still opens when the column runs all the way to the roof. It is too dark to see much ("you guys probably can't see them"), and torches will not sit on most of the stairs, so Basket plans to bring glowstone. Item frames will show what armor sits in each column. A nether brick fence post out front holds a sign reading "BasketMC's Armor Shop," since signs show up on the server's overview map.
Pay what you like
After a supply run, Basket shows the nearly finished shop. The quartz ran out, so the trim under the roof will have to wait. The plan dropped from five kinds of armor to four (gold, iron, chain and leather), with no diamond, because "this is just stuff I'm getting from the spawners." Glowstone hides behind the chests and lights the payment chest.
In that chest Basket leaves a signed book called "Armor Shop." It says payments go in the chest: "Pay what you'd like." Basket admits it is "a bunch of free stuff" anyway. There is so much armor that some of it is getting thrown away, and plenty of it is gold.
The episode ends inside the shop, with the chests still waiting to be filled. Basket plans to carry over a load of armor on every trip to spawn. The end card plays to the last frame.
