Episode 4 went up on Christmas Day. After the "GopherCraft SMP" title over Mount BasketMC, a card reads "Episode 4, Christmas Special," and the whole episode stays at spawn. A big tree strung with torches and red ribbon stands in the middle, ringed by chests with a minecart track looping around them. A long table is lined with cakes, and red flowers fill the beds nearby.
Gifts under the tree
Every chest carries a sign. Basket left presents for Max_Writer, lostinthefort and Th3pooka, and one sign reads "To: BasketMC From: Max_Writer." The nameplates pile up as people arrive: Max_Writer, Th3pooka, lostinthefort, optimus1971, Scoti_Garbidis, pikerize, Steel_Douglas in a Santa suit, and Gopherboy riding a minecart around the track. A voice starts singing "Oh Christmas tree," and the opening begins.
Fortune all around
A voice opens a gift from BasketMC: "It's a diamond pickaxe with fortune 3 on it!" The giver explains the pun: "I figured I was pretty fortunate for meeting all you guys. So I got you guys fortune 3 picks." "I have the same gift for everyone," a voice adds.
Other presents go around fast. A voice hands out a holiday pie, which will be "for sale until the beginning of the new year" in the pie shop. "A diamond just showed up in my inventory," a voice says, and it is from Gopherboy: "These are the tears of a gopher." Later someone jokes about hitting Basket with a Fortune pick "'cause then I get more baskets."
Basket's present
Max_Writer's chest for Basket is stuffed with packing the tooltip calls "Christmas 2013 Snowflakes," plus Blocks of Iron. Inside is a bow named "Basket's Christmas Present," with Power V, Flame I and Unbreaking III. "I thought they were random ink paper or tissue paper," a voice says of the snowflakes. "That's cool."
Basket switches to a third-person camera to watch the crowd mill around the tree. With inventories filling up, a voice points out "an ender chest in the post office."
Sundown at spawn
Basket climbs onto a giant gift box built of green and red blocks, and the party carries on past sunset. pikerize, in diamond armor, fishes from a ledge on a stone building. "Holy moly, long cast!" The cheers go up as the light goes: "Merry Christmas, guys!"
Merry Christmas from GopherCraft
Night falls. The words "Merry Christmas from the GopherCraft server" appear over a ride on the minecart track around the tree, with the chests and cakes passing by. The end card follows, and the last frame is a quick look down a stone brick shaft.
