Episode 5 opens with "GopherCraft SMP" over Mount BasketMC and a title card reading "Episode 5, Iron Golem Farm." Basket is in Basket Tower and has a problem: "everything takes iron." The item sorter, an "ender ender" planned for later, and other projects all need it, and Basket keeps running out. So this episode is about an iron golem farm.
Pine saplings and a storage room
First, a tip. Basket plants what Basket calls pine tree saplings in two-by-two squares on top of the tower. They grow huge but drop enough saplings that Basket never runs out. All that wood went into the storage room below, where chests line the walls with space left behind them for an item sorter full of hoppers and comparators. An item elevator already carries items up through glass from near the bottom of the tower into chests.
A slime chunk
Down in the branch mine, slimes start bouncing out of the tunnel. "Oh, a slime chunk, awesome." Basket swaps to a looting sword and cuts through them, picking up slimeballs.
Villagers by rail
Basket mostly follows a tutorial for this one, so the episode skips the building. After a cut, the farm has come a long way. Basket meant to cure zombie villagers nearby, but none turned up, so the villagers rode all the way from the zombie spawner at Basket's base on a rail line. The farm sits southeast of the base under the ocean, near the edge of the area the players agreed to build in, through a new portal and a stretch of Nether rail. A sign by the ladder down reads "BasketMC's Iron Golem Farm" over "Pigmen Lounge," since the top deck is where zombie pigmen end up.
Lava and hoppers
A second player stands in the collection room. Basket calls this player "my cameraman" and has had the cameraman standing there to collect iron and poppies, and notes that standing still uses up almost no hunger. Golems spawn above and drop through a hole. They are three blocks tall, so their heads reach a layer of lava and they burn, and hoppers send the drops along an item elevator to the chests.
Doors, water and a mineshaft
Doors face shafts that run to the surface so they count as a village. Water currents on either side keep the villagers from glitching into walls. Basket built on top of a mineshaft without knowing it, and zombies crowding toward the villagers caused lag until Basket lit most of it up. On the surface there is only a dirt pillar in the middle of the ocean, which may become ice.
Back in the collection room, a chest holds rows of poppies and iron ingots. Between the farm, some caving and holding back on hoppers, Basket now has enough for a full beacon. Next time, if others will team up, the plan is to fight the wither so the beacon can go up. The episode ends in the collection room next to the cameraman, with a quick third-person look at Basket, and the end card plays to the last frame.
