Day 5 opens in the same cave as the last episode. Basket, 8ong8ong and pikerize have an enchanting table, a few diamonds and, by the sound of it, a skeleton nearby. "Skeleton right near you." A moment later: "It's dead."
Sharpness II
They wall off a side passage so nothing can sneak up, and the digging turns up "more diamonds." That settles the next step. The advice over voice: "Sharpness one iron sword is better than a diamond sword," so enchant the diamond one if there are levels to spare. Books and lapis get passed around, someone builds an anvil, and the bow gets Power ("let's make it a power two"). When Basket checks the inventory, the tooltip reads "Diamond Sword, Sharpness II."
Blue team falls
Basket opens the Tab list. FriarNurgle and NewaZusa are already grayed out, and pulse2010 is at about half health. Then chat: "pulse2010 was slain by Sayulily." A yellow line follows, "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!", and a wall of "gg," BasketMC included. Epic_Swampert sums it up: "team blue falls first."
Gold, buckets and flint
Back to work. One of them fills a bucket with lava from a source nearby, and they make another water bucket. Someone counts the gold and finds more than expected. Basket mines a vein of gold ore behind the chest.
Gravel gets broken down for flint. "I want flint and steel. Anyone else want flint and steel?" The bow carrier is up to "33 arrows," and a golden apple changes hands.
Lava on the mob party
The red lines come back: "Soul Crusher is coming!" and the border shrinks 95 blocks over five minutes. The team pushes on into a big cave with a pit below. Over voice, a skeleton down there is "hanging out with the party of everything else." The plan: "just dump the lava into that pit with all the bad guys." Lava goes down, and a zombie is soon standing beside it. "Now he's in the lava." Then it is back to the bow for whatever is left.
In chat, 8ong8ong earns the Monster Hunter achievement, and Scoti_Garbidis writes, "what? call the doctor." Another two-minute warning shows up, with no death line before it.
Somebody else's torches?
Further on, a ravine has torches in it, and that is worrying for a moment. "Somebody else has already been here?" Then the cobblestone looks familiar. "I remember this cobblestone that I placed here above my head." It was them all along.
End of Day 5
With dawn close, they set up a crafting table and a furnace by a waterfall and get the furnace going. Basket crafts a golden apple, eight gold ingots around an apple.
The server posts "End of Day 5. Players remaining:" with 16 names, BasketMC, 8ong8ong and pikerize among them. Basket is alive with the orange team in the cave when the episode ends.
