The episode opens back in the cave with "all the tension of people being nearby." Basket, 8ong8ong and pikerize know another team was close at the end of the last episode, and the first thing to show up is a baby zombie.
Optimus is "dying"
Chat is busy right away. MomofMiners asks, "what happened optimus???" and Scoti_Garbidis answers, "he is dying." Basket opens the Tab list, and optimus1971 is down to about one heart.
It has just turned morning, so the team heads out a hole in the cave wall, up past the water and onto a hill. Then a line that looks like a death shows up: "<optimus1971> fell from a high place." The name is in brackets, so optimus1971 typed it. A few players post "gg" anyway, and Epic_Swampert writes, "lol he trolled you." Over voice: "He always fakes it. I never trust Optimus."
Spotted
Up top they find a cobblestone barrier that someone else built. Then the call comes: "He spotted us." The plan is to "dig in," and the team goes back underground through the dirt. "So this is now our home." They try to talk without saying names, and wait for the other team to show itself.
Chat fills in some of the picture. Epic_Swampert says a teammate is "lagging about 20 seconds behind," and ty750 replies, "i am that bad." A yellow "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" follows, with no death line on screen before it. A little later the red lines arrive: the border is shrinking 95 blocks over five minutes.
A night of names
Night falls while they poke holes up to the surface. Every so often someone sees a nameplate. "Oh, I see a name, I see a name coming." "They're right above us." The players out there are sneaking, which hides their names, so it is hard to say who it is or where they went.
The video brightens the dark tunnels for a while, with a "Night Vision" label on screen. In chat, Epic_Swampert thanks "whichever team ran away from us" for "the free food."
Three in a row
Out on the moonlit slopes, chat reports "StanLikesPi was slain by Epic_Swampert." StanLikesPi adds, "once again, swampert destroyed me." Then "Evil_Mech_Meru was slain by Epic_Swampert," and then "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Epic_Swampert." BasketMC posts "gg" with everyone else.
That changes the plan. Over voice, the idea is to go after Epic_Swampert now, since a teammate is lagging and the fight "took out three people." Someone calls "Shoot him!" and warns "he's got an infinity bow," but the other side ducks out of sight.
The trash pile
Near the edge of the trees they find a pile of dropped items, "a trash pile." Basket checks the inventory, and the tooltip shows a "Diamond Sword, Sharpness I." There is string in the haul too: "I have a seven string, so I can make a bow now."
The sun is up, pikerize is close by, and Basket is still alive with the orange team when the episode ends.
