Episode 4 picks up where the last one stopped: the objective still reads "Use radars to scan the surrounding territory," with 6 of 50 sectors done, and the question of how to sort a belt is still open. Over 20 minutes Basket feeds the ammunition assembler, builds a second group of turrets to the north, adds a steam engine and keeps placing radars. The scan reaches 50 of 50, and the game declares the tutorial campaign finished.
Iron and copper on one belt
"This is producing both, it's producing copper and iron, but I only want iron to go here." A chest at the end of the furnace belt holds 87 iron plates and 39 copper plates. Basket checks the belt options in the crafting menu for a way to split them and finds none. For now a chest and an inserter go next to the assembling machine that makes ammunition, and Basket loads the chest by hand.
A base further north
"Let's make another base further up." Basket crafts a radar, gun turrets, belts and inserters, then runs a belt and a line of power poles north as night falls. Gun turrets go down along the belt with inserters behind them, but something is not running. The Electric network info window reads 0 W. "I guess maybe the power doesn't go this far out. Because this is, it should be connected. Oh no, it's not." One more pole fixes it, and lamps and a radar follow.
More steam, more radars
Back by the lake, the commentary wonders if another steam engine is needed, and a second one goes in beside the first. The map view shows yellow desert to the north. More radars go down around the factory, and the count climbs past 20.
A sort of sorting
Basket extends the plate belt so the inserters along it take what they need and the rest runs on into the chest. "I mean I wanted this whole line to just be one thing, but I guess this works." An electric mining drill on the coal patch starts a belt toward the furnaces so they can pick up their own fuel. The scan keeps climbing through the 30s and 40s while Basket chops trees and crafts more magazines.
Where it ends
A message reads "Small shipwreck located to the southeast," the count hits 50 of 50, and the game's text says "Alright, it's time to explore that area." A "Game finished" window shows Victory, 50 minutes 51 seconds played and 75 small biters killed. The Epilogue that follows reads "Congratulations, you have finished the tutorial/demo campaign!" and the video closes on the Factorio main menu.
