The second video of The Witness picks up with the green cable Basket lit at the end of the first one. It leads to more mirrored panels, then out to a gate in a building of red tree trunks, where one panel won't give. The rest of the video is spent in an orchard whose panels are drawings of trees, and the answer turns out to be hanging on a real one. It ends with a tree panel solved and a pink cable newly lit.
More mirrored lines
The cable "comes over here" and powers a row of blue panels on a white wall, where two lines are drawn at once and mirror each other. The commentary keeps clicking "too early" and learns that the two lines "can't run into each other." Bigger panels follow. One of them droops at the bottom corner. "Oh, this one's all melting." It is "really hard to look at," but the mirrored lines go through, and the cable runs on out of the building.
Stuck at the gate
The cable climbs a sandy hill to a gate set among red tree trunks. A blue panel there has dots on its lines, which the commentary calls "little blockade guys." Avoiding them fails, so the next plan is to "go over all of them," and that works. The gray panel past it is another matter. It has two halves and gaps, nothing reaches it, and "there's no power heading here yet." After a walk around and a second look, it is still locked: "I need to get over these two spots here."
Trees and apples
Past a field and a path that loops back to "where I was before," Basket reaches an orchard of pink and yellow trees. Each panel is a green square with a black tree drawn on it, and the line runs from the trunk up to one tip. The first is found by trying tips, and it lights a pink cable to the next. Re-solving one turns off its neighbor, until it is solved again.
Then the commentary spots it: "wait, so there's an apple. Aha, this is matching where the apple is." Counting branches from the panel's angle goes badly, and a wrong guess means the commentary has "to run all the way back." A tree with "a broken branch" becomes the landmark.
Where it ends
Looking at the forks from below settles it: the apple is "on the one with a broken branch," so the line goes to "the right most of the first thing." The panel takes it, a pink cable lights up, and after a few steps along it the video cuts to the end card. The gray gate panel and the gray door from Episode 1 are both still unsolved.
