Basket takes the Stealth Cruiser B out for a third time. "I'm determined to beat this one." The hangar shows DA-SR 12, Layout B, on Normal with Advanced Edition content enabled: a Glaive Beam, Long-Ranged Scanners, no shields and no drones. The crew list reads Adnan, Bjorn and Feras, an Engi. One video later every crew member is dead in Sector 2, the Abandoned Sector, for a score of 396.
A restart at the first beacon
The first beacon brings a Rebel Disruptor. "They're going to hack, and they have a drone, so I'm sure this is going to go great." Basket opens the menu and restarts: "I'm just going to start over." The new game has the same ship and the same crew.
Sector 1 is a Civilian Sector. Basket cloaks past an automated Rebel ship to reach its storage cache ("We were able to do it, although it was abandoned"), buys fuel at a refueling station, and helps a civilian ship chased by an Auto-Surveyor. One cloaked volley from the Glaive Beam wrecks it. "That's what I like to see."
Intruders and a Zoltan ambush
In a nebula two intruders come aboard, and the crew fights them off between trips to the medbay. Then a refugee ship drifts at a beacon. Basket hails it, and a Zoltan Energy Instigator jumps in, calls the refugees criminals and opens fire. The Glaive Beam cuts through the Zoltan shield and hits the weapons room. "Well, I'm so glad I designed my attack that way." The fight ends with the scrap counter up from 13 to 35. At the exit Basket picks the Abandoned Sector over the Zoltan one.
Hacked in Lanius space
A larger Lanius ship chases off a swarm of tiny Lanius scouts and turns on the DA-SR 12. The Lanius Scout hacks the ship, and fires break out aboard. "These doors are hacked. I can't get him out of there." Feras drops off the crew list, and the ship jumps away. "I would really like to get the Stealth Cruiser C unlock, but we're not doing so hot." An Auto-Scout pushes the hull to critical, and Basket jumps again, straight into a store. "Finally, a friendly place." With the hull at 7, Basket spends the scrap on repairs and one fuel.
How it ended
A Rebel Fighter offers to surrender. Basket refuses and destroys it for 18 scrap. Next is a Rebel Rigger with "a combat drone and a beam weapon. Sure, nothing bad can go wrong here." Fires spread, the engines go critical, and Bjorn drops off the crew list. Adnan is left alone at 4 health, and then the Game Over box reads "All crewmembers have died. Your ship will continue to drift for eternity. Or until looters destroy it." Score 396. The video ends with Basket looking at another ship in the hangar.
